The best social media scraping APIs in 2026

Eight APIs for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and X, each asked the same questions, with prices read at the company’s own pages. We sell one of them, so we say where the others are better.

ScrapeField

We sell one of the eight APIs below, so read this as a list by a competitor. To keep it fair, we asked all eight the same questions, took each answer from the company’s own pages on 6 November 2026, and say where each one beats us.

Which one to choose

  • The lowest price per call on Instagram and TikTok: ScrapeCreators. Most calls cost 1 credit, which is $0.99 per 1,000 on its $497 pack. We do not match that.
  • The most platforms: SocialCrawl counts 69 platforms and 689 endpoints. ScrapeCreators and Social Fetch also cover YouTube, Reddit, Facebook and Threads, which we do not.
  • A large company contract: Bright Data, with enterprise terms and a free tier of 5,000 records a month.
  • Something unusual, or a one-off job: Apify. Its store has a scraper for almost anything, each by its own author.
  • Steady volume every day, on social platforms only: EnsembleData. You buy units per day, not per month.
  • An AI agent that researches what people say: Xpoz, which is built as an MCP server and charges per query, not per row.
  • Social data and Google Maps on one key, in a documented schema: ScrapeField, which is us. ScrapeCreators, SocialCrawl and EnsembleData do not sell Google Maps places and reviews.

“1,000 Instagram profiles” is 1,000 single lookups, from the first paid step to the largest published one. On ScrapeField a profile costs 3 credits. On ScrapeCreators, SocialCrawl and Social Fetch it costs 1, and more if you ask for extras.

What a failed call costs

This is the question that decides a real bill, and the answers differ more than the prices do.

  • ScrapeField: nothing, on every endpoint, and that includes a profile that does not exist.
  • Bright Data: “No charges for failed deliveries.”
  • Social Fetch: a failed lookup and a 503 are not charged. A lookup that finishes and answers “not found” or “private” is.
  • SocialCrawl: credits are refunded on a 502 or a 503.
  • ScrapeCreators: it says so endpoint by endpoint, and some empty answers are charged (read on 9 October).
  • Apify, EnsembleData and Xpoz: we did not find a general rule on the pages we read.

Where we are not the best

  • Platforms. We cover five. If you need YouTube, Reddit, Facebook or Threads, buy from someone else.
  • Price at volume. On Instagram and TikTok, ScrapeCreators is cheaper at every size, and Bright Data and Social Fetch are cheaper at some.
  • Track record. We started in 2026. Others have years of customers, and most of our endpoints do not yet have enough customer calls to show a success rate.

What we offer instead: one schema for each platform, documented field by field; a published price for each call; no charge for a call that fails; credits that never expire; no login or cookies of your own; and Google Maps and LinkedIn on the same key as Instagram, TikTok and X. Any endpoint answers with demo=true and no key, so you can see the real shape first.

How we read this

Each figure comes from the company’s own pricing page, home page or docs, on 6 November 2026. Prices change, so check before you buy. The longer comparisons are at Apify, ScrapeCreators and every other vendor. If we got something wrong about your company, write to support@scrapefield.com and we will fix it.
