Four surfaces, done properly
Most of this category sells breadth. We think the useful thing is a small number of surfaces you can actually rely on, priced so you can forecast the bill, behind a company that answers its email.
Why so few
Because we publish a success rate for every endpoint, and that number is only worth something if it is true. Four surfaces is what can be kept green and proved. A vendor advertising sixty-five platforms is advertising a list, and the first stale field costs you your belief in the other sixty-four.
If you need a site we do not cover, we will tell you so and point you at someone who does. That is cheaper for both of us than a disappointing month.
What we refuse to do
- Take your credentials. Not a login, not a cookie, not a session. Not having to point your own account at what you are researching is most of what you are paying for.
- Keep a database of people. Responses are cached for a stated period and then deleted. We have no enrichment product and no stored corpus, which means there is nothing here to leak and nothing to be subpoenaed for.
- Charge for our own failures. A call we cannot serve costs nothing, and the refund is in your ledger before you notice.
- Invent numbers. Our status page currently says “—” for latency and success rate, because we have not served enough traffic to measure them honestly. It will say a number when the number is real.
How we price
One published credit cost per endpoint, one balance, four plans, no discount codes. You can multiply the table by your volume before you write a line of code, and the number you get is the invoice. We are not the cheapest at very large volume and we do not pretend to be — the comparison page marks the rows where we lose.
Who is behind it
A small team. Small enough that the person who answers support@scrapefield.com is the person who can fix the thing. That is an advantage right now and we intend to keep it for as long as it stays true.
